Our staff and children were trained on fire safety by Dodowa fire department. We learned how to put out fires using the fire extinguisher .... PASS (Pull the pin, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep) and using a heavy blanket/sack soaked in water.
There are babies that we have the ability to take under our roof. There are other babies that require more medical care than we can provide. Baby Esther is one of those babies. Esther's needs are beyond our capabilities and finances. She has microcephalus, how severe? The doctors don't know.
She is in need of some basic medical tests (including MRI and EEG) amounting to USD $600.00. (GHC 2,400).
That is only the beginning. We are praying for your help. We are praying that Esther doesn't get lost in the system without care and without a home.
Any donation and all your prayers would be greatly appreciated!
Our little friend is doing better but he still needs our prayers. Thank you for your dedication, Miss Juliana and all the wonderful professionals at the Shai Osudoku District Hospital in Dodowa!
Well done, Majid, our resident farmer, all around handyman, and master fufu pounder! We salute you! The vegetable beds are ready for planting thanks to some serious weed clearing and bed building! Tomato plants....here we come!
Beacon House would like to recognize Vivian Vaye for all her dedication and service. She worked with us faithfully since 2008. She and her daughter, Faith will always be part of the Beacon House family. Thank you Vivian and we love you!
