Donation to assist
Hi Beacon House Friends,
At the request of the Department of Social Welfare, Beacon House has been asked to assist in a case for a teenage girl who was found in dire circumstances. Thirteen year-old Grace joined our home after being discovered on the streets of Accra. She is five months pregnant.
Grace claims that she ran away from home one year ago. The Department of Social Welfare is attempting to trace the family and will conduct a thorough investigation.
For now, Grace will remain at Beacon House where she is safe, receiving medical and prenatal care, proper nutrition, and counseling. She will receive all the necessary help to deliver her baby in a loving and supportive environment.
Each time we add a new member to our family, our expenses increase — even more so with a pregnancy. Please consider making a donation to assist us in giving Grace the opportunity to deliver her child with dignity, security, and in good health.
Donations may be made online by following this link:http://beaconhouseghana.org/page_id91
Many thanks for your support of our children!

Chicken Project
After months of planning and waiting we are happy to announce that our day old chicks have finally arrived.
Beacon House received funding from Meredith College in North Carolina, North Carolina State Department of Poultry Science and NC Egg Association to build a chicken coupe on our property just outside Accra/near Dodowa and to buy chicks/layers.

The bulldozer did a wonderful job leveling our land by clearing off tree stumps and filing up the uneven ground, The site is now set for construction.

BEACON HOUSE IS MOVING .....
Beacon House has land on the Dodowa Road, about 30 minutes from our current, East Legon, location. We will be building our very own home.
During this Easter/Spring break, our children finally had a chance to see the land they will soon call home.We planted a mango tree and said a prayer to mark this occasion. #Futurehome

Isaiah 25:4
4 You have been a refuge for the poor,
a refuge for the needy in their distress,
a shelter from the storm
and a shade from the heat.
For the breath of the ruthless
is like a storm driving against a wall
