Arrival of our first three eggs

We are happy to announce the arrival of our first three eggs! This is a positive sign that soon we will be producing eggs. Not only will the eggs supplement our children's food/protein but the sale of eggs will help our monthly food bill and household expenses.

One big happy family!

We are one big happy family! Abigail's sister, Michaela, came to Beacon House during her school break. We were happy to see her again after many years.

   

First day of school ...

It's back to school for some of our kids and they are happy about it.
Zoey (dog) is going to miss them!

Thank you

Josephine and Annamarie are thankful for a fun school break - they came to Accra from Bolgatanga - where they are attending boarding school. They were able to reunite with their friends at Beacon House and received new sneakers and backpacks (thanks Anna!!). Vacation time is over and it's now time to go back to school.

Class time

Preparing tomatoes for a few months of stew. Momma Comfort is a great teacher.

Simple solution

Beacon House's new charcoal iron .... With the electricity being so erratic ... lots of on/off and mostly OFF .... best to rely on the old charcoal iron.  Need to iron those uniforms since the children go back to school tomorrow.
